Hi .
I've just joined the Norton Owners Club and just acquired a 1959 Dominator in original intact but rusty and seized condition .
The owner said it was his Dads and it has been sitting under a cover for many years. He didn't know if it was an 88 or 99 . The Engine number is 22700 and reg is 289DYH.
Where would i find the Frame number and could someone on this forum identify it.
Thanks Clive

Hello, I wonder if anyone…
Hello,
I wonder if anyone could clarify if the Featherbed frame was factory-stamped anywhere else apart from the gusset plate? Unfortunately the gusset plate number is long back gone, and I can't see it anywhere else.
Thanks!

Hi Neil, I stand to be corrected but I think that the No. you describe is the date of manufacture of the frame only, not the frame no.

Hello just a quick update…
Hello just a quick update on this thread , i got in touch with Isaak who asked the question about frame number location last night as I got myself in a dizzy fit when I recognised the registration of a bike I have had a few years, he attached his question to thread from 2010, he kindly emailed me back and explained about multiple threads and links and not wishing to start others I realised it was not about my bike. I have the factory records letter that Clive Bartram got back from the dating officer when I purchased the bike a few years later in the condition he describes, restored it turned out a lovely nice bike and pleasure to ride.
thanks again to Isaak for his prompt reply to me Arthur.
