Hello I am cracking on with a dominator for a friend, itâs had loads of problems that have been sorted now, the last thing to sort is the kickstart as itâs destroyed the splines, I have ordered a new kickstart but I am on the look out for a shaft now, can anyone please help. My gearbox number is n 11373.

Hi Colin thank you for the reply, the kickstart is completely wrecked, the shaft has quite a few splines missing, and have been worn up places, the kickstart must have been loose for years, I will have to bite the bullet and order a shaft up as well, at least it will be right then.

It's usually the kickstart splines that fail as the shaft is hardened but sometimes after a lot of use the shaft fails too. New ones can be sourced from RGM but they are £94 +VAT, delivery etc. Norvil probably do them too but they are usually more expensive.
