Hi can anyone help me with the orientation of the pawl spring washer with the pawl spring.The washer has a long and a short flange on the circumference, I need to know which fits between the legs of the spring.Regards 

On the drive side crankcase there is a small hole behind the main bearings, at 6 o'clock, which doesn't appear to be threaded (see pics).  Is this a drain hole?  There is also a groove in the crankcase above the hole with a small channel.

I’m building a WD 16h and am thinking of buying clutch plates from India, from the pictures they seem ok, although the steel has a grey look which to me indicates it may not be of the best quality, has anyone tried these plates out?

When assembling drive sprocket and alternator rotor the rotor key will not sit into its key way due to interference from rotor spacer. The easy solution is to shorten key by 4mm but if standard parts don’t fit it’s usually assembly at fault.

I have a two-into-one issue with a couple of tachometer gearboxes, both of which are faulty in different ways but with which I hope to perform the two-into-one trick in order to obtain a functioning item.

I have a lightweight which uses a conrod very similar, but shorter and unbushed at the small end.

Very Sorry - but someone recently phoned & asked if I had an oil tank I could spare. Sadly, I had to say no. But I have lost the enquirers name since.

I have a 1949 ES2 that was restored but the petrol tank was not chromed. I believe they stopped chroming them in 1953. It has very nice paint, striping, logo, and decal on it however.

For future planning, it's just been confirmed by P&O on Look North today that the Hull-Zeebrugge service will be terminating (I believe it's been on hold since the start of Covid lockdown).
