ES2 push rod/rocker lubrication

Forums

The ES2 has push rods with cup shaped upper ends into which fit the ball end of the rocker.

Is oil fed to these rocker ball ends? Or is it just splash lubrication?

(It would come from the oil supply to the rocker shaft.)

I am not sure but I know that someone will correct me if I am wrong....

Is not oil fed into the pushrod from the bottom where the pushrod fits into the lifter?  The pushrod then fills with oil and the oil is fed to the rocker arm out the top.

It doesn't work that way. There is a rocker feed via a pipe using a bleed off from the oil return to the tank. That feeds oil tto the rocker arm shafts which then makes its way to lubricate the valves and pushrods by splash. It's a pretty basic design but it works adequately.
