What seal is everyone using for the lower end of the pushrod tube.on the early OHV models ?
I have made a fibre washer that worked for a bit but they seem to crumble. I even tried O rings.That didn't work as well.

In the past I have cut up old leather shoes and punched out the shape needed using round wood chisels on a wood block. I also have a stock of old real rubber innertube that gets cut up. Old computer mouse mat is usefull material . Could I be a Hoarder ?, seems likely.
