Hello.
Can someone advise me what battery will fit into a Mk2 A Roadster battery tray to run my Alton electric starter, I have a Motobatt MB9U battery in at the moment and is 11 Amp rating and not the 18 Amps that Alton requires.
I’m aware that the Battery tray size could be an issue with larger a larger Batterys so if someone has fitted something close to recommended size that would be a help.

i have got a numax ytx14bs 12v 12ah been on a few years no problem.

I am new to Commando ownership so am not sure if Interstate and Roadster models have the same battery trays but I have just fitted a 21ah Motobatt MBTX20UHD on my Alton equipped Mk2A Interstate. As the Motobatt is longer than the standard battery I have fitted it lengthways.
