1947 Inter 30 type-approval / Betriebserlaubnis / Typenschein

Forums
Hello everybody, an Inter 30 is the youngest member of my british bike stable in Austria. The motorcycle has  a V5C but is not an original Inter but a zombie, however very close to a 1947 Inter (and fast and beautiful). I have the ambition to road register it in Austria and a copy of a ca. 1947 Inter 30 type-approval / Betriebserlaubnis / Typenschein would be o great help. Any help very appreciated! Andreas

ES2 Cylinder Head Types

Forums
Up until this weekend I was aware of 3 styles of cylinder head fitted to ES2, 19R/S, 50 during the fifties. Circa 1950 it was still the iron head. Around 1955, possibly a little earlier, there was the Al-fin head. This was the same shape as the iron head but with an iron skull combustion chamber and aluminium fins. It used the same rocker box as the iron head. From 1957 there was a new version of the aluminium head with cast-in pushrod tunnels. At the Stafford show I noticed a head for sale which at first glance appeared to be the Al-fin style.

Prewar Chronometric speedos

Forums
I am (I hope) close to getting my Inter speedo but there's a delay sorting out the hub gear. But I found somewhere... Chronometrics are allegedly 1600 revs per mile unless they have a 4 digit number such as '1476' or '1500' or '1620' or something similar. Perhaps someone can confirm? Doing some calculations.

I have the mudguard and almost everything on. The problem is I cannot get the back wheel in. I can take off the back part of the mudguard but cannot bolt it back together when the wheel goes in. There is not enough space for the spanners.

‘55 ES2 Chrono Speedo Cable

Forums

My ‘55 parts book lists the speedo cable as B2/552, I need one so ordered one from the club listed as B2/552 4’6”  but I can’t see any route that makes the cable long enough to reach the speedo, what route is it supposed to take and any idea how long it should be if not 4’6”!

Cheers

Wide line 500 international exhaust system

Forums

Hi there, I’m getting close to finishing the restoration of my 1957 500 wide line inter and as you might guess the exhaust pipe and silencer are both quite rusty but salvageable. I initially looked at Armours to supply a complete system but they couldn’t be bothered to answer my enquiry and from what I’ve read most people seem to have trouble with the fit of their supplied pipes. I could order an unplated pipe so if it doesn’t fit I can make it fit then get it plated, or, patch up my existing pipe and silencer then paint it black.
