Hi All
First time on here so be gentle please.
I have a 1976 Mk3 850 with electric start, my wife has been pillion on other bikes but doesn't want to go on the Norton because all she can see is my back!
What I'd like to know is there any way to have a higher pillion, the King/Queen seat doesn't seem to be high enough, is anyone aware of a better solution?
Kind regards
Carl

I have offered but as she's…
I have offered but as she's the size of a Hobbit her feet don't touch the ground! When she had her own bikes we've had to make sure she can touch ground when stopping, no easy feat!

Apart from riding around…
Apart from riding around with a shackleton high chair on the rear or developing a swan neck, the only way for a short pillion to see is a cctv system with the screen on your back and the camera facing forwards..... Or being the invisible man.

I guess he's after something like this:

Which would look really odd on a Commando. But you could try lower bars...

Thanks all, it looks like a non starter for my pillion so I'll have to carry on solo.

Did the High Rider have a King and Queen seat?
Plenty of good humoured but tounge in cheek replies but don't forget Carl is a new member and we wouldn't want him to give up on the Club would we?
But seriously, didn't the High Rider have a form of King and Queen seat and sissy bar?
Maybe you could follow this lead up Carl?

Ok, my apologies. Although I…
Ok, my apologies.
Although I wasn't being entirely flippant.
Stepping the front half of the dual seat by cutting the foam down (easy with a bread knife) could give 2". Then fit flat handlebars (as Domi) will move the rider's shoulders down and forward by another 2". Finally, rectify any droop in the rear frame loop. That should afford a reasonable forward view over the rider's shoulder to even the shortest pillion and still look in keeping.
