Calendar Request

I guess I should keep the following request short and sharp, so as not to lose the interest of a fine audience before the end of the article. So here goes. Please, please, please, take the time to consider showing off your Norton in the 2026 NOC calendar and then ride it to a delightfully photogenic spot to take a photo that everyone else will love to see hanging on a wall somewhere in their house.

Dear NOC Member,

Good News! 

We are pleased to announce that bookings for the International Rally to be held in Guerande, France, from Thursday to Monday, June 12th to 16th, 2025, are now open. Please note that Thursday and Monday are travelling days, and no activities will take place on those days. 

There is a compulsory rally fee of 72 Euros per person. A choice of accommodation including camping and mobile homes is available. Breakfast and dinners are optional, it will be your choice as to which you take.

William Alfred Cakebread known as Bill died peacefully at home in East Sussex on 17 October 2024 at the age of 82. He was born on 9 November 1941 in New Cross S E London and leaves behind his devoted wife Valerie, brother Bob, son Stephen, daughter Alison and grandchildren.

Dear Members,

Due to health issues, I am about to start a treatment plan lasting approximately six months.

I’ve handed over the days running of the Norton Day at the National Motorcycle Museum to our Vice Chairman Rich Thomas, although I continue to work in the background on the final actions.
