Anybody parking an IP 2 or Classic up for any length of time, drain fuel tank down or remove fuel pipe from fuel vacumn tap. It has been known for the tap to go faulty and fill the engine with petrol and damaging the engine.

I got me a old Interpol with newly reconditioned engine ( Done about 1500 miles)
I recently rode down to Spain on the Commander. the only problem was that the ballast resistor went. I had been told that the bike would run without one. I joined the wires and the bike ran perfectly.
Can anyone tell me why the maximum rev limit is set so low on the ip2,at 7500 rpm this seems very low for a rotary with so few moving parts,i heard that a rev limiter was fitted does anyone know why this was done,also i have a ip2 that has been st

Hello, at the INR I noticed a beautifull Commander Special with blackened engine casings, see picture attached. The coating was of great quality. I am not familiar with rotaries. Is it standard? I take it the casings get rather hot.
I have stripped and rebuilt the primary side of my liquid cooled rotary engine. Now I need to adjust the clutch. Does anyone have a suggestion of how I can best do this.
