This workshop manual was written in the late 1950s or early '60s by PL Garratt, the Norton Service Department manager who succeeded EM Franks( the author of a well-known servicing book).  I have looked for a copy of Garratt for ages and not found

Hoping to start complete rebuild of 650SS  next week just fitting nuts on conrod ends with big end shells fitted need torque setting for big end nuts looked for manual could not find can anyone help

I went to pick up the old Atlas in mid June this year. It had sat for 50 years, untouched and unloved. I took my son with me and we managed to get it into the van without too much drama.

I believe that the engine of my '63 650SS basket case restoration would have had chopped Monobloc carburettors as standard.

After stripping the head off my 600 dominater I found some damage to the spigot’s I was wondering if I flush down to the face would that have a marked effect on the running I don’t really want to replace the liners as the bores are ok still std ?<

I'm gradually getting there with the tuning of my Atlas and one of the things I've noticed as I've progressed is that the engine is becoming more powerful and responsive.

Restoration of 750 Commando engine that I am undertaking has the additional oil feed to the camshaft taken off the rocker feed as supplied by Mr Dunstall in days of yore.

I have for many years owned a Wideline twin. In fact, I like it so much I have just bought another one, a 1957 99.

I had to put a pair of new brake shoes onto the rear brake plate of my 650SS restoration.

Please can anybody tell me how I can check the high  tension leads contacts  within the body of the magneto in a K2FC Lucas magneto?
