Stator cable. Leave well enough alone?

Forums

Thank you all in advance and for past help people have given me.

Outer insulation layer of stator cable has broken and the inner is also split. Please see image. What is the best way to address this? Try a preventative repair or leave well alone?

I am assuming the stator cables cannot be removed and re-soldered easily?

Repairs I have come across appear to be irreversible and wondered if anyone has a less final method?

Methods I have seen are, apply either engine grade silicon or JB Weld to secure the cable to the stator. I assume that I should refit the stator before applying silicon or JB Weld so the cable can be guided for minimum twisting.

I am assuming neither silicon or JB Weld are not conductive?

Thank you all. MarkO
