Sticky clutch
Hi. After a long (1+ year) layup due to I'll health I've got my 99 back on the road again. The trouble is that the clutch plates don't want to separate when I'm getting ready to start the bike. This is a new problem for me.

The thread is stripped in one of the holes in the cylinder head that receives these studs. I want to helicoil it. Can anyone advise me of the correct helicoil kit to buy?
What's the procedure for strobe timing with a disc on a '61 99? The procedure in the twin cylinder manual is archaic!

Hi folks, finally decided to join.
Went for a spin on my 57 Dommie 99 and within a few hundred yards got a graunching sound from below.
After 6 months use I found a gradually worsening smell of petrol in the garage where I keep the Norton. The Bantam and the motor mower were innocent - there was a dampness under the Norton's tank towards the back.
