Hi there putting my magneto/dynamo 1956 ES2 back together - the previous owner was a bit of a bodger. Can anyone tell me how the inner is fitted - on the central support there are three washers on to which the case fits - sounds too many and no help from any of the manuals!

Hi Stuart, I don't have a parts book for that year, but I do know that there is more than one length of hexagonal spacer, depending on year/model. My 1950 parts book doesn't show any washers on the outside of the case, just one wide one on the inside. If you bolt everywhere else up i.e to the frame and crankcase, does the hex spacer appear to fall short?
