Nick - this was my response to an earlier query ;-

I have three Commandos in regular use and they all have Fastback fibreglass tanks and single carbs.

Early last year one bike suffered a sticking throttle and goo on the back of the throttle slide.

The tank must have had had a filler put in by the previous owner and Ethanol had attacked it.

This tank was then cleaned out and lined with Ethanol resistant Petseal and has been ok since.

The other tanks seemed fine but were both lined with Caswells GTS1750 as a precaution and they are ok too.

I have some spare tanks and I intend to put Caswell in if I bring one into use. Iain

Caswells GTS 1750 seems to be the weapon of choice when dealing with fibreglass tanks but does anybody know where you can get it?

I'm intending to seal the steel tank on my LR Fastback this winter. Anyone got a sealer of choice for steel tanks to stop rusting etc?

Cheers
