Dear All,
Might need to change my rear shock on the Atlas,
what do you suggest to do?
Option one:
Disassemble the unit check for damping and changing the springs? Where to buy the springs? Wich rate? Wich is the original rate?
Option two:
Change the unit with an Hagon couple, do they worth the cost?
Otherwise, all the other reproductions are made by the same factory in Taiwan and distributed by different suppliers or there are different factories and different suppliers?
Who would be the best?

I tried NJB shocks but they were too long and had the wrong bushes. I returned them and bought Hagon shocks instead. They might cost more but with shocks you get what you pay for. Do you want to trust your life to cheap and possibly inferior suspension?

I also found that the NJB shocks were too long, causing the top run of the rear chain to grind on the swinging arm. Plus ....... the shocks were labelled for a Slimline bike but had Wideline bushes. When I returned them for a refund, the seller informed me that NJB made their Slimline shocks 0.5" longer because market research had led them to the conclusion that all Slimline customers wanted their replacement shocks to be longer.

Try EAW, I found that their Slimline rearshocks were well made and reasonably priced. As a bonus they came with a range of bushes to suit variations in the bolt holes of different swinging arms.
