Can anyone recommend a good petrol tap for my slimline ES2. There is very little room between the tap and frame top tube and frustrated fitting taps that leak.

I'm having problems selecting gears , and the box sometimes gets stuck in gear .
Stripping down reveals the selector rod shaft loose in the thread at the back of the main case .
This is a serious question. Apart from the new Nortons (both Garner era and TVS) the vast majority of Nortons on the roads are not required to pass an MOT. This does not mean a free pass to ride around on a bike that has obvious defects.
As always, I find myself doubting my judgement.

I was idly scanning my bookmarks and came across it again. It's a cornucopia of excellent information on all sorts, written and maintained by a bloke who was in the motorcycle trade in the USA for many years.
Trying to work out why one slide is sticky at the bottom of its travel. After lots of swapping parts in and out, including parts from an old carb, it turns out that the aperture in the throttle slide is slightly too tight for the choke slide to r
