Name and shame in RH397

Congratulations in naming and shaming CE Design for its poor performance and quality of work on James Whiting's Mazak items on p.26 of the new RH397.  (Incidentally - also called "Zamak" by some manufacturers).  We need more of  these criticisms where they are clearly due.

Obviously this is just one person't experience, but unless you think James is lying then it is valid and DID happen!  I do feel sorry for James, having paid a King's Ransom for extremely shoddy work.

As a general comment - just because a supplier or workshop might have a friendly relationship with the NOC doesn't mean that they are above criticism.  In fact the opposite is true and they should go the extra mile for it.

I've just read the online Roadholder article by James Whiting of his experiences with CE Design, having read my earlier RH article on Mazak.

I am truly mortified at the tale he tells, as he was prompted by my inclusion therein of CE Design, albeit as noted without any personal experience.

James, please accept my heartfelt apologies for my innocent involvement in your misfortune. I am pleased that your story eventually had a happy ending, reinforcing the point that personal recommendations from experience are worth their weight in gold.

Best regards

Mike Coare
