This is an area dedicated to those interested in the first of the NOC's 'Special Interest Groups' and is called the NOC Riders Section. The NOCRS will support NOC Members who enjoy riding longer distances!

Manx GP 2022

Are any plans in place for the regular Norton meet-up and BBQ at The Shore Hotel, Laxey this year? Sadly the Classic TT is no more, although there is a Classic MGP apparently. What machines will qualify I don't know, but even in it's new, truncated form, the race meeting will still be well worth a visit.

I am trying to find out what side shows are likely to be happening, and the Laxey meeting is always good.

NOC Rally, The Friars, Aylesford, 15-18th September

This event has an unfortunate clash of dates with another, very big classic sporting event, at which racing Nortons usually feature heavily, and that is the Goodwood Revival Meeting, not too far away in Chichester, W. Sussex. Those who wish to attend the Revival will have no doubt already booked their tickets, as they sell out very early. What a shame, as the NOC rally looks to be a good'n, with a lovely location.

Ah well....

Santa's Tool box

Putting in a Christmas request for a set of tools suitable for general servicing of my recently acquired Dominator 99

Suggestions for what to include (including description and sizes), and possible retail outlets would be most welcome.

with much appreciation

Whatever happened to A.J.D.

Curiosity is a strange thing, I remember reading a lot of articles by Anna Jeannette Dixon many moons ago but not too recently. Sometimes she could be a little how you say 'different' in her replies to people and her spelling was muxed ip, but does anyone know why she has disappeard from the N.O.C. ?

Trafalgar Day

...today, as Facebook has reminded me.

Did anyone else have their photo taken alongside HMS Victory when the NOC national rally visited in '89' or '90 and then find their photo splashed across the local paper ?

Incorrect DVLA model designation for my Norton

I'm looking for a little help with an admin error with the DVLA.

I have a Norton ES2 1949 and an accompanying V5C. All details shown on the V5C are correct (registration, engine number, frame number etc).

When I tried to insure it, several insurance companies recognise the registration and make, but have the model down as a Dominator. I fear that if I ever had to make a claim, the insurance company will declare the policy null and void as it is in fact an ES2.

Diesle spills.

Since the UK fuel problem began, I have smelled diesle while riding and seen spills. Probably because more people are brimming their tanks at every opportunity . So be a bit more caucious than usual while on two wheels on the roads.
