Bearing retainer
I have made a schoolboy error and not taken enough pics when I started the job. When refitting the front hub bearing retaining ring should it end up flush with the housing? When I refit it I have 2/3 threads still showing.

Two years in and I have just about got my Electra oil tight apart from a stubbornly little weep from the primary chain case oil filler cap.
All buttoned up and starting well with the new arrangement. The bad news? I noticed no charge showing on the ammeter. After tracing through I have plenty of AC volts arriving at the (solid state) rectifier but nowt coming out of it.
As mentioned before one of the primary chaincase screws had a stripped thread in the crankcase. Further inspection showed that one of the others had already been fitted with a helicoil, It was sticking out from the crankcase.....
Flushed with success with my starter mods I went out this morning to see if it was still starting. Yes it was. However, I noticed that when the starter operated the primary chaincase was moving about!
Since I rebuilt (partially) my Electra I've had trouble with the electric start. It hasn't been with the mechanical side (although more later). But the electrical side has been causing me grief.
Is there a drawing/pic/link of oil tank to engine, oil pipe layout please, Jubilee 250
Hi chaps, a quick progress report on my 1964 Navigator rebuild. 29 days so far from a bare frame to an almost ready to start bike today after fitting the carb, throttle, choke, styling panels and first test fit of the restored seat from Leytons a
