Forums

Hi, Can anyone clarify the length that a Navigator fork spring should be ?
Part No for the Navigator is 23015 and an es2 is E2/620
Many thanks

... that the "lightweight" forks have lighter springs but someone more knowledgeable than I will no doubt be along shortly.

The lightweights were all fitted with a lighter fork spring. Colour coded green for identification.
This should be confirmed by the part number of Navigator spring being different from heavyweight spring.
Sorry I can't tell you length.

23015 spring - front forks.
Free length 18.062 ins min/18.312 ins max
73 working coils. Equispaced.
Wire 7 gauge, 0.176 ins dia.

Coil dia, measured wire centre to wire centre, 0.8 ins.
Both ends paint green.

Used on Navigator and Electra.

Enough information for anyone to get replacements made.

... can be confusing as often a part which was used on earlier bikes is carried across but with a different part number....
