.... and that failure's no success at all. But it can lead on to progress. I've just enjoyed a 25 mile jaunt on the Electra which ran very well and didn't run out of petrol (but I should fill it up).

I converted my 1961 Navigator oil pump form a 3 start to a 6 start pinion gear.
Can the Navigator oil sytem cope with the higher oil flow?
I noticed oil seeping out from under the cylinder heads in the last time.
A break in the rain has given me a chance to get the Navigator and Electra out for a good clean after the Navigator's looooong rebuild and the Electra's busy summer of reliable and enjoyable regular transport.
As I come to the end of a long rebuild of my trusty Navigator made necessary by a Landrover driver pulling out across the road resulting in a bent frame and broken wrist I have discovered the forks top yoke were also bent sufficiently to misalign

Having just picked up the beautifully +.020" thou rebored and honed barrels from Hamlins Engineering in Bridgewater for my post engine number 94573, non spiggotted barrels Navigator I am now planning the top end rebuild.

Following all the ministrations I've carried out with the Electra, last week I went out to the garage every morning and started the engine using the electric starter - each time it burst into life immediately although I didn't run it for long.
A question about the best technique for fitting the Navigator and Electra one piece cylinder barrels onto the pistons for experienced Lightweight Owners.
