Hi, Has anyone tried the Girling floating disc on their Commando. Wondered if it would be an improvement.

I have a puzzle I can't figure out!
I am looking to put the engine and gearbox back into the frame.
I currently have the gearbox, swinging arm and main stand all bolted together.

I am about to fit the cylinder head to my Mk.3 with a copper head gasket supplied by Andover Norton. After annealing, they recommend a layer of Hylosil (Engineering grade RTV silicon) to both surfaces.

Ive just purchased a second hand Fastback seat and will recover it as part of my Commando rebuild project.

Can someone confirm something that has confused me with the horn button switch?
I'm re-wiring my Mk.3 and have stripped & cleaned all the handlebar switchgear.

1969 Commando. New clutch cable end nipple is too small to fit the clutch lever. Is there any adaptor or sleeve I can buy. Don't really want to junk the cable.
