Weight of model 50 engine!?

Forums

I am looking to have collected a Model 50 engine (no primary, mag, carb etc) by courier. It appears if it is under 50kg (110 lbs) it can go as a parcel which is much cheaper othewise I will need to use a pallett service.

So a bit of an obscure question but anybody know how much the engine weighs?

An indication - just this morning I dragged an old 16H engine out onto the bench. It weights 33kg. Iron barrel and head. No magdyno.

You will need to allow for boxing it up which will probably add a few kg.

I wouldn't like to be the courier having to load 50 kg parcels!

Is it a complete engine? I sent an ES2 iron engine by courier a few years ago. Because it was disasembled I sent it in 2 boxes and it worked out cheaper as they where both under a weight threshold. I can't remember what the weights were, sorry, but it might be something to look into.
