Road tax changes

Just been looking at the DVLA website. I was surprised to find that along with the abolition of the paper tax disc (Which has been well publicised) When a vehicle has a change of ownership the new owner has to tax or sorn the vehicle themselves. The Road Tax on the vehicle (if there is any left to run) is not transferable to the new owner.

Not really you have to apply for a refund. You also have to cancel your insurance or you can get clobbered if the new owner doesnt insure it and has an accident,
