Just starting to put my Mk3 project together. I was wondering how long the oil wicks and disc wicks for the swinging arm need to be soaked in the appropriate oil, overnight?? Also would it be a good idea after I have sealed one end of the swinging arm with the Welch Plug, disc and oil wick to fill the Pivot Spindle with the same oil so the wicks have a constant 'bath' so to speak, then seal it off? Can't see anything in any of the books I have to say either way.

I fitted a screw to the Welch plug so that oil can be added. Some owners fit a small tube to feed oil in. When I installed mine I left the plugs in soak until saturated.
