Hi I'm just starting to tinker with my late father in laws 1929 model 18, now i'v been able to get it up on the work platform its not to bad OK everything made of steel is rusty but it seems to be solid. The the only part that is beyond saving is to exhaust Dose anyone know where I can find a replacement downpipe, the old one is still in one peace so it could be used as a pattern if I need to get one made so dose anyone know of a company that can make one I don't really want it chromed (I don't want to put a shiny new downpipe on a rusty nail ) thanks Simon

It might be worth looking…
It might be worth looking at having a stainless one made by someone like OS Pipes (http://www.osmc.co.uk/) who have a good reputation and aren't a million miles from you. Allden also have a good reputation (no website).

Thanks for your suggestion but I'm after a plain mild steel downpipe that I can make rusty so it will blend in with the already rusty bike >
