Hello Andy - I 've just had a quick shufty at my 88SS crankshaft and the tab washer plates are only fitted to the through-studs to secure the four nuts on them. The other nuts (on the 4 bolts ) should be secure enough with threadlock though mine seem to have been centre-popped. Good luck and regards, Howard
