DIY spanner for exhaust nut removal

I made this recently from scrap 14mm square bar and it works very well. This design gives a more equal turning force on the nut. The handle is approx 18'' long.

Not bad for a home made tool. The only thing wrong is that with the two prongs to engage, you are putting stress on the thin fins. When using the correct hook-like tool, the strain should always be taken by the fat fin.
