Credit where due -- Opie Oils

Good service should be noticed, hence the following:

I recently ordered a five litre tin of Castrol XL from Opie Oils. When it arrived (promptly, and within the advertised delivery period) the base of the tin was slightly crushed, as if it had been heavily dropped, apparently because the otherwise effective cushioning within the delivery box wasn't present *under* the tin.

The tin was still oil-tight, but I thought I should let Opie know that their packing was on the adventurous side.

I e-mailed them a picture of the tin as received at 19.42 on a weekday evening, and got a reply at 08.55 the following morning (!), not only thanking me for the feedback but extending a small but appreciated discount in acknowledgement.

As you may imagine, I shall have no qualms about giving them further business. (It's also worth pointing out that Opie also had about the best internet price.)
