Hello Guys,
I want to replace the flexibke oil hoses that take oil to and from the oil tank. As you can see one of them is bulging quite badly and I may as replace the other as well as it looks to be pretty ancient.
What size and type of flexible hose should be used?
It looks like the best way to change these lines would be to remove the rigid pipes where they are bolted onto the sump at the base of the engine. Anyone any experience of this job got any tips?
Many thanks
Dave

Thanks Geoff, I hadn't thought of braided hose but suppose it would last longer than the stock 1/4" fuel/oil hose I was considering. Then again I don't think there's a lot of pressure so it might be overkill - I could be wrong though.
Fixings-wise those Magna clips look a good alternative to jubilee-type clips. For this job I have a crimping tool so intend to use that, it's pretty similar effect to the fittings I'm replacing but would demand I remove the whole assembly to use it properly.
Cheers
Dave
Hi Dave
Check out a company called Ratsport of london or www.ratsport.co.uk.The sell stainless braided pipe to the bore size you need with a clamp called Magna clamp. These clamps look like a proper union but are actually jubilee clips inside.Very clever and neat.I fitted these to my ES2 and they look good as the clip can be turned to the rear so its basically unseen. You can order as much pipe and a many clips as you like.
Regards
Geoff
