Hi all. I?ve tried to find previous threads on this but I have not been lucky...
I bought a tickler extension for my Concentric MK I. I thought it was a simple task to replace the tickler, but it isn?t! Can anyone give advice about how to remove the old tickler and replace with the extension kit?
I found this online ... "The tickler is indeed a royal pain to replace, they are a press fit into the carb body". Is it true? Is it just a matter of pulling the tickler with a pair of pliers?

Just a suggestion (I haven't tried it for this particular application). Put the new sleeve in the freezer overnight, and heat up the body (preferably with nothing hotter than the wife's hair-dryer) with luck, the new sleeve may go in without too much brutality! Worth a try, John.

I did this a couple of weeks ago, and it takes a lot of force to press the new aluminium sleeve into the body. You need a 4" vice with soft jaws.
To remove the old sleeve out I would suggest a longfine threaded bolt eg 3mm/3.5mm and a sleeve to make a puller. I was lucky, the body I was working with had the sleeve already removed.
You could tap the old sleeve internally as an alternative way to pull it out.
