650SS manifold insert tubes

Evening folks,

Can someone tell me please which is the correct way to insert the manifold tubes on a 650SS head. What is the final position of the slots in the end?

Hello Mick - The slots in the end of the tubes engage with the balance pipe holes in the manifolds. Otherwise they will block the balance tube airflow. Seems obvious when you think about it . Cheers, Howard

Thanks Howard. Completely forgot about the balance pipe holes, or to put it another way ,I did not think about it.

Will have to do better next time.
