Friends of mine recently ran into this fine Navigator participating in a trial event at the Costa Brava, Spain. Rider is Kevin White? Notice the cylinder head rotated 180 degrees.
Can anyone confirm what the recommended piston clearance is for an Electra so I can provide the information to the engineer doing the rebore? I have a set of NOS pistons from the NOC shop marked AE which I presume are Hepolite Powermax.
Hi - I need to replace this cotter pin but cannot find the part number from the spares list. The drawings don't seem to cover this version of the forks. I believe the design was changed in 61 and again sometime later. Grateful for any advice.

A question for all with excellent memories of the early 60s. Was the background to the raised letters on the Lightweight Norton tank badges painted and if so was it in the same colour as the tank?
In the aftermath of the moved out gear lever shaft bushing and the resulting difficulties in shifting gears the bushing was glued into the housing and the missing washers were added. A friend of mine altered a metric washer to fit the shaft.
.... and that failure's no success at all. But it can lead on to progress. I've just enjoyed a 25 mile jaunt on the Electra which ran very well and didn't run out of petrol (but I should fill it up).
