Releases press notes commando

Hi Francis. The notes being serialised in Roadholder are a reprint of the original Service Notes which have been out of print for some time. I believe that the translation in French is still available from the French Club. If not, I have a copy which I would be happy to give you.

You must by talking about the factory service releases that the Norton factory sent out to their dealers world wide. In 1977-78 when no one then was interested in any thing connected to the now defunct UK motorcycle industry I was in Taylor Mattersons in Balham, South London, and I bought all their spare parts books. The company was closing down, and I was informed that they did not want to sell any Japanese motorcycles. I was also given by their then service manager the complete set of their factory service releases. Taylor Mattersons were the main service centre for Norton's back in the 1970's so they were sent all of these relevant service releases. These went back to 1968, and up to when it was NVT and that included many of the Triumph service releases, or may be up to 1977.
