Owners Club Calendar

Dear Members,

I find it a bit disingenuous that the club calendar is advertised minus VAT especially as the advert in this month's magazine states " Please make sure cheques state correct amount to pay" and then quotes various prices depending upon which package of calendars one wants.

Underneath the table there is then printed:-

"Prices include postage and VAT where applicable"  when clearly that is not true.

Hi Anthony

The price in 'Roadholder' includes VAT and UK Postage. In common with all other NOC Shop items, the price on the website adds VAT separately? When you add them up - they're the same!

I can reassure you that we weren't trying to be 'disingenuous' - merely a 'left hand/right hand' thing?

There has indeed been a conflict between Roadholder Calendar advert, and the web order procedure, a degree of lack of 'joined up thinking' (not surprising in this day and age).

The Calendar ordering on the web is apparently several years old and is desperate for an update.

The strange 'packet' system we have needs replacing by a straight 'quantity' system.

Mailing Zone does not need to be 'ticked' twice. But VAT is an area of worry as UK has it on the Post and Packing but rest of world does not.

I am assured that the web masters will be sorting this out for the future.

Can I stick my two pennies worth in on the post.

The only people that do not charge VAT on postage is Royal Mail. If anyone else is charging for postage it must have VAT added to it, this is a government rule. The postage is charged separately on the web site depending where the calendars are being posted to. UK and EU citizens have to pay VAT but anyone else out of these areas does not get charged, ie, Rest of World. When you order a calendar online like Peter said the final Total price is the same as the Roadholder advert.

Peter and a few others will be reviewing the online calendar ordering system for next year and will try to make it more user friendly.

Its quite difficult to sort a web ordering system out taking into account VAT for some areas and different postal charges for orders far afield. Hopefully next year we can make it more of a happy experience.

I hope you got your calendar ordered eventually and on behalf of the calendar team I apologise for any stress caused.
