Getting down to the detail work and I seem to have a problem routing the speedo cable to the rear wheel. The cable is the correct length (5'1"). I have started at the speedo end and routed it down the offside of the down tube, over the lower frame and over the centre stand spindle. Nearest the centre line of the engine seems to be the obvious route avoiding the sump plate but I still seem to be some 2 - 3 inches short.
Any ideas? Thanks,
Steve

Thanks Tony,
The route you have is similar to mine except mine is over the lower frame rail where it joins the down tube. I am suspecting that my cable is too short as I cannot see a more direct routing. I will use a piece of mains flex to determine the length required and try to source a new one.
Thanks again,
Steve

Cable should be 5Ft 2".
Runs directly under the engine, up the front downtube & into the headlight.
The Speedo drive (normally) would be underslung.
On attached picture, my cable turned out to be too long!

Sorted now, turns out that the cable fitted was 5'0". I had taken the measurement of the overall length and not the outer only. Ordered the correct cable from the NOC shop and now fitted to the bike. Also gave me an excuse to buy some nice shiny fork top nuts.
Soon be roadworthy and I will post a photo soon.
Thanks to all for the invaluable assistance,
Steve
