Yiu may recall my problems with a recalcitrant single? Many suggestions were offered and were clise to the cause.
1. My capacitor was failing,a new one soldered in place seems to have resolved the misfire.
2. Valve checks were inconclusive.I had comoression.Gaps were ok but the engine occasionally became very rattly then strangely quiet.
The cause? A faulty inlet pushrod! Tge clearance wS opening and closing whilst in use. The locknut is nit securing ut adequately.Unusual and hard to find as the gap was always ok when checked.
Does anyone have a used one to sell?
Anyway,I now have the machine I expected and tnoughts of selling it have passed.
