Afternoon
There is no retaining clip on my light switch it looks like it has been stuck in with mastic.
To get the light switch out I take it the switch breaks apart either side of the headlamp shell?
If it breaks I will replace but would rather keep the original where possible.

Switch removal
The switch is a one piece unit. It comes out upwards in one piece from inside the headlight shell.
As it seems like the switch has been sealed in with a silicon RTV, you may.need to cut through the RTV all the way around before attempting to push up the switch from inside the headlamp shell.
It is held in place with the wire clip detailed by Paul.

Can be a fiddle to fit.
