Ignition switch

Forums

Sorry I expect this question has been asked before, I have a 4way ignition switch, going clockwise viewing from the back I have wired terminal 1 brown/blue 4 (single terminal) blue/yellow 2 white 3 brown/green, when I turn key clockwise on 1 I have parking lights and instruments, 2 off can pull out key,3 nothing on at all, 4 everything power to headlight switch, assimilator light, indicators. My question is should I have ignition on the third position to start the bike without the parking lights on or is all correct what I have. Sorry to go on a bit.

That sounds right. My switch has brown/blue on terminal 1(feed from battery), blue/yellow on terminal 4, white on 2 (switched 12V), and brown/green on 3 (instrument, pilot and tail lights).

Position 2 should be 'Off' as you have indicated. Turning A/CW should be parking lights; first position CW ignition; second position CW should be lights and ignition.

So, yes, you should have ignition in the third position if I understand your post correctly (starting with the switch fully CCW as position 1).
