i am about to replace centrestand.the right hand nut and bolt are easy to remove,but the left side has a prob.nut ok to remove but frame in the way remove bolt.do i have to remove engine plates?

well since no one as answered you yet I will take this opportunity to make a answer too the question , you will have too remove your engine and gearbox to remove the engine plate's too get too the center stand . so its the hard way but there you are, hope this now helps . yours anna j dixon

A bit like old cars whose heater was first in against the engine bay bulkhead. When they started leaking all you had to do was remove the engine and all ancilliaries to get at it! Witha centre stand you fix it first when rebuilding - into an empty frame! Simples!
