Cylinder head torque figures Model 50

Forums

I've been through all my manuals and searched extensively online, but I'm unable to find a definite figure for the cylinder head bolts. Would someone please enlighten my as to the correct torque, or tell me where to find the info.

Hi Duncan,

32 lbs/sq inch torque setting for Model 50 & ES2 head bolts. These figures taken from Mike Pemberton's excellent DVD on stripping and rebuilding the Single OHV engine.Mike starts at 24 lbs/sq inch and tightens them in increments of 4 lbs/ sq inch. The DVD is welrecommended and available fom NOC shop.

Hope this helps,

Pete
