Can any member clarify if the SmithsMagnetic speedometeron a 1966 650SS should be 120mph or 150mph type?

If it is 150mph what is the part number on the face of the clock?

Hello All 650 Machines were fitted with the 150 mph Speedo in 1966 they would be of the Magnetic type. 15:12 ratio . You need to contact Alan Gagg of Nottingham He will tell you what you need to know ! and all retentive numbers ,your Anna J

That Speedo should be a SSM.3002/00A. The revcounter should be an RSM.3003/00A.These were also fitted to the 88ss for 1966. The Kilo one was SSM.3002/01A. The Speedo cable length was 5.7 1/2 inches andthe Smiths cablepart number was DF.9110/00. The revcounter cable lengthwas 2.8 inches, and Smiths cable part number was DF.9111/03. This is just in case this is the next question.

A Smiths SSM3001/00A was fitted to the 1966 650/99, Atlas, N15CS. The 00A part of the numberis the internal modifications that were made to the Speedo or Revcounter.

Thank you Anthony.Your info is spot on andhas also been confirmed by Alan Gagg of Nottingham who can supply. For a 1966 650SS it would be fitted with a120mph speedo (SSM.3002/00A) with a 2:1 ratio and it could also have an optional trip.

Regards, Paul.
