Just wondering, does anyone remembers the dealer T H (?) Ashcroft of Thornbury?
My bike was supplied to them by the factory in 1950. I have done a couple of internet searches but only come up with one reference to them: supplying a trials James in 1949. That reference said J M Ashcroft, but J and T or H and M are easy letters to confuse when transcribing from hand written dispatch records. As my bike is also a trials I wondered if they may have been trials/cometition specialists rather than just a general Norton dealer. Maybe Ashcroft was, at one time, a competition rider.
As I find more information I will post it here in case it is of interest to others.
