E Bay junk

I think we already know it's caveat emptor regarding buying second hand stuff, maybe some of the new reproduction stuff too (as you have found.).

It might be more helpful to members if you could highlight which parts it was that you had problems with and in what way they failed to satisfy.

I personally wouldn't expect you to reveal the seller(s) although it might help if you think it would be ethical or justified... Maybe just a Country or area of origin?

I've had some good experiences buying from India and America.

I always rate RGM as the very best.

Just a few words of warning to forum members, I have recently had to return (at the sellers expence 4 orders which turned out to be "Not as described or defective" .I look very carefully at parts but am still decieved regularly. Without the E-Bay returns policy I would have lost out. Its easy to do ,don't let them get away with it.

I think pattern parts have always been a bit hit-and-miss - I remember Armours had a very poor reputation at one time although I understand they're better these days.

The problem is that ebay allows access to a huge market and people don't always bother to return stuff so a lot of junk can find its way onto bikes. Recently I bought a dip/horn switch from a (non-ebay) supplier that was appalling - the horn button made continuous contact with the shell. A replacement from ebay which was cheaper was actually far better quality.

Hello words to the wise Armours Do not make there own exhausts any more they do not have any tooling they farm out to other makers and I find RGM a good deal and sell good stuff but there 650 down pipes do not fit on one side yours anna j
