I've run an 18" for 20 years now, with a 110/90 tyre so it is very close to the diameter of a modern 19" 100/90 section tyre. It sits about 0.15" lower. I did have some NJB shocks in which were about 0.2" longer than std and after they started to leak I went back to Hagons which are 12.9". I have a 19" on the front with a 100/90 tyre, both BT45. I have also used a 90/90 AM21/26 etc but i never really noticed much difference. I'm just not the kind of rider that often pushes that hard but if I want to I have a Firestorm for that!
