1968 Norton P-11A in 2019

For over fifty years, I have maintained the original livery of my Norton P-11A -- the Swingin' Sixties Candy-Apple Red color scheme. My interest now that I'm long in the fang is to add a sidecar and somewhat re-tool so that the motorcycle is more useful and safe to run to market and cruise the highway.
I'd very much appreciate any guidance my betters have for this project.

P11 sidecar
Aloha Christopher; Just an opinion here. P11s are very special machines. Attaching a chair would be a chore and put a different set of stresses on a light weight desert racer frame. The cousin bike to the P11 is the N/G15 series of hybrids. They look similar to a P11 but are street bike frames and they have sidecar mounts built in to them. Mark

P11 sidecar
The P11, is different to the N15CS and the G15CS. the only thing that is the same would be engine, and gearbox, and some electrical components and the handlebars, and levers. As for the 7 3/8 yokes, that would not work as the P11 series used the AMC Teledraulic forks, and not the Norton Roadholder front forks. There would be some servicing problems with a sidecar, as you would need to get to parts to do it. As Mark said this is a very special machine, and it was designed to be used off road, and for racing off road. It therefore has the structure to do so.

Nice P11! …. Not sure how easily it would be, I assume the P11 has commando type yokes, but fitting a set of later 7 3/8 side car yokes would help it steer I’m sure.
