Hiya - I maybe having a senior moment!! But all I can find is the later gearbox drgs. Does any one have an expanded drawing with the earlier gearbox with the curved camplate please(see attached picture). Alternatively is there an AMC gearbox drawing for something like the Francis Barnet Cruiser that shared a lot of components I believe.

Early G-Box drawing
Nice one, Simon!
With some annotations by Ray Sage when he handled the spares.
Take note of both of them with this box.
1) The layshaft bush regular inspection required to ensure it is not loose. Pegging it in place is a preferred option, if at all possible. I have attached a picture of the bush, now pegged to prevent rotation.
2) The shim idea (size depends on end float) to stop the bike jumping out of first gear.
