Here is a picture of a pair of gauges marked “To set at”. 0.010/0.012 and 0.014/0.016 thou.
Manufactured by Remax, Pat Appd For Made in England. Ground steel finish, good quality item been in my tool set for years. The curious bit is, they are almost twice the size marked on the face at 31 and 36 thou respectively? Anyone seen these before, ideas as to use ? If yes, and you need them they can go to a good home...

A ring is missing which goes over the distributor cam and the thickness of this ring has been added to the thickness of the feeler. Hence the feeler is thicker than the numbers stamped on it.
