Ride before moaning
Yesterday after a long deliberation, I attended a pre-arrannged Factory Tour of Norton. It's a reatively small operation and very busy.
A technical forum for all modern Nortons made since 2009 in Donington.

For all the people who are thinking of purchasing one of these machines & think that Stuart Garner has gotten over all the issues with this bike, think again.
I don't currently own a Norton, but wiith the costs of acquiring and running Commandos increasing (£10K for a Commando?) and used values of the 961 apparently falling (£12K?) the 961 might appeal.
Hello, is anyone aware of a slipper clutch for the 961?
Have ridden the new Sport a few times now and find it a little heavy and not as manoeuverable as my last rotary but I am sure this is me bedding in to the bike and I have not ridden for a few years.
I received my 961 Sport last week. When I started it the clutch rattle was horrendous BUT soon settled down, I guess it needed oil.
Hi all, I find it a real pain to clean and polish my front wheel. Can anyone recommend a front wheel paddock stand for the 961?
Hi all
has anyone out there been recording the oil consumption on their bike after the first couple of thousand miles mine has been high and i've put this down to running in but not so sure now.
My April 2015, 961SF digital clock cannot keep time, losing about 30 minutes a day. The ODO can also play up on occasion either gaining or losing 25 miles parked in the garage overnight! The bike is fited with a CAT1 Datatool alarm immobiliser.
Can anyone suggest a disc lock that fits the 961 sport disc and is Thatcham approved [when I get it]? Oxford Products do one, the HD with chain and padlock for £39.00..
